I guess amidst the sporadic creation of this blog, I should probably explain why and how I came to the conclusion that it would be a good idea. For starters, when I was recently in Miami reading the book, “You Are a Badass”, (a book recommended and given to me to read by THE Izzy Hallberg), it forced me to think about how I’ve always wanted to start a blog…but never did it. When I voiced the idea Izzy said, “Why not?” and so began the brainstorming of ideas.

I feel like a lot of my life is grounded in helping other people (sorry if that sounds cliche) but, it’s true. Whether it’s an outfit, a product to buy (or not to buy), or relationship advice (don’t we all need it), I find myself commonly involved – probably more than I should be. With that being said, I’ve noticed that a lot of the time many people close to me have similar dilemmas, which makes me think, well, more than just the people I know do too.

The other issue? I haven’t found anyone worthwhile to learn or get ideas from that I can relate to completely. All the bloggers, vloggers, and social media gurus I follow (for the most part) are out of college or models living in Australia with legs double the length of mine. This leads to an empty void of knowledge involving college life and how to deal with it – not only the positives but the negatives as well… What’s a lifestyle blog without being open and honest about highs and lows? I just think that the not so pretty side of everyone is hidden but that in turn, leads to a deep dark hole of “I’m not good enough” but that person is “perfect”. But the truth is, the not so perfect sides are never really talked about. But they should be, that’s life. And, through publishing actual thoughts and opinions, I hope people realize that more than just themselves have gone through various different situations and that they have a place they can look to for guidance.

Now, I’m not saying that everything I post about will be what’s best for you or you’ll even agree with me, or maybe it won’t even relate to you at all and you’ll think that I sound ignorant – but at least you don’t need to watch 20 minutes of me talking to figure out it was never worth your time in the first place.

More than anything, I just want to use this as a creative outlet to produce genuine, absolutely truthful content, that might help someone out there figure something out.

With all of this in mind, as I tried to decide on the name I simply couldn’t. I just wanted it to reflect exactly what I was writing about. Eventually, I came up with absolute lifeStyLe. Absolute, meaning free from restriction or limitation, and lifeStyLe, because my initials are aesthetically fitting in the word and well, I’m writing about life as I know it.
