“Where I am right now is so different than I would have ever imagined.” – Sophie Levine

UGA student Sophie Levine witnessed a bus accident with many fatalities in Myanmar in 2017. She said it has shaped her into who she is today.

“Where I am right now is so different than I would have ever imagined,” Levine said.

Levine has traveled to many places around the world, but Myanmar is the place that holds a special spot in her heart for many reasons.

Given that Levine loves to travel, COVID-19 has proven extremely tough on her traveling opportunities.

She now has an internship blogging for Weddings in Athens along with being the event planning and coordination committee co-chair for ADPR Connection at UGA.

Levine is double majoring in public relations and consumer journalism with a minor in fashion merchandising. She wants to connect both her major and minor to do fashion public relations in New York City.

Since she is from Chicago, the city life is nothing new to her. She said she loves the city, because she enjoys always moving and doing something new.

Besides being a student, Levine has a puppy that she spends the majority of her time in Athens, Ga with.
